Old town Riyadh- Saudi Arabia.

I'm finally getting back into the illustration mood, and had so much fun with this one. I love Door ways, and enjoyd working on the subtle details - the bikes, house number, note left on the door, baskets on the stairs, broken mail boxes, graphitie, and paper tea cups that were just left there- which are remains of a story waitting to be told.

Despite, all the fancy buildings and several high scale shopping malls in Riyadh ( where you can actualy always see your reflection on the shinny floor tile ;D ) , I was mostly fascinated by our old town. With it's smaller streets, smaller buildings, markets, and tourists. Haha, as many modern Saudis now a days , my younger sisters hate going there , and wouldn't want to be caught walking down the streets of the old town. However, since Riyadh is the capital, the government is taking extra care of the city and it's modernisation, therefore , where many old buildings once stood, are now newly renovated ones, thus cutting off part of it's history!
